Capital Work
A new 300 Kw Detroit Diesel was installed in the fall of 1999.
Plant Forecast
Capacity of the plant is sufficient at present. Continued growth of the town and anticipated GNWT department moves to Gjoa Haven will increase loads in the near future. Waste heat recovery could be made use of.
Future Work
Any future capacity increase would require a building addition as the building is overcrowded now. Plant exterior requires painting and plant ventilation needs to be upgraded.
