CWNN CHARTS!
That looks Welsh!
24 Sep 2004

PlayLouder has become heartily sick of scribbling about the big charts, with all their NobChunk feat. Some Bint rubbish. So we're retiring, and instead bringing your attention to the Chain With No Name sales reportage.

This week in the CWNN singles chart, Biffy Clyro are a new entry at No.1 with 'My Recovery Injection'; PlayLouder Single of the Week 'Pick up the Phone' by Brakes enters at No.9 while ancient old scrots Laibach are at No.37 with 'Das Spiel Ist Aus'. They ought to have a word with Biffy Clyro about naming things.

In the albums, Paul Weller has been booted off No.1 by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' 'Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus'. We'll give you a tenner if you kick the ol'cun in actual life, Mr Cave! A Ministry of Sound compilation called 'Big Tunes' is at No. 6. Wonder what that sounds like. Has anyone heard of Flogging Molly? Cracking name, isn't it? And they're at 28 with 'Within a Mile From Home'.

This week's Despicable Record That Makes Us Wail is Ocean Colour Scene's 'Live - One For The Road', which berks and pillocks bought, thus allowing it to enter the chart at 17.

There's a club in Hoxton tomorrow night called Mulletover. SPUTTERRRRRR - TALK!
