Sizes: Directions are written for small with changes for medium, large and x-large in parenthesis. Finished bust measurements are 39 (44, 48, 52)".

Materials: Worsted-weight yarn Berella 4 (100% Acrilan acrylic, 240 yards per 3-1/2 oz. skein) by Bernat: 4 (5, 6, 6) skeins #8887 Pale Tapestry Gold (MC); 1 skein each of the following: #8879 Pale Sea Green (Col B), #8769 Light Orchid (Col C), #8979 Dark Peach (Col D), #8846 Pale Teal (Col E), #8941 Winter White (Col F). Knitting needles sizes 5 US/3.75mm and 6 US/4mm and 24" circular needle size 5 US/3.75mm or whatever size needed to get correct gauge; five 3/4" buttons (by JHB #87131 Marbled Sage).

Gauge: 18 sts and 27 rows = 4" in pattern stitch on larger needles. To save time, take time to check your gauge.

Special Stitches
Garter St: Knit every row.

Color Pattern: (Multiple of 2 sts + 1)
Rows 1 - 4: (RS) Work in St st with MC.
Row 5: (RS) With CC, k1, *(k1, yo, k1) in next st, sl 1 Wyib; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 6: With CC, k2, *Sl 1 Wyib, k3 tog tbl; rep from * to last st, k1.
Rep Rows l - 6 for color pat using CC colors in following order: B, C, D, E, F.

Back
With smaller needles and MC, cast on 89 (99, 109, 119) sts. Work in Garter st for 12 rows. Change to larger needles and work in col pat until piece measures 11-1/2 (12-1/2, 13-1/2, 15)" from beg, end with WS row.

Shape Armholes
BO 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then dec 1 st each edge every other row twice—77 (87, 97, 107) sts. Cont in pat as est until armholes measure 8 (8-1/2, 9, 9)" end with a pat Row 2.

Shape Neck
Next row: Work across 27 (31, 35, 39) sts, join a 2nd skein of yarn and BO next 23 (25, 27, 29) sts for Back Neck, work across rem sts in est pat. Working both sides AST, BO 4 sts at each neck edge every other row once. Bind off rem 23 (27, 31, 35) sts each shoulder.

Left Front
With smaller needles and MC, cast on 43 (47, 53, 57) sts. Work as for Back to armhole shaping. Shape Armhole edge as for Back and AST beg Neck Shaping.

Shape Neck
Dec 1 st at Neck Edge every other row twice, then every 4 rows 12 (12, 14, 14) times. Work even in est pat until piece measures same as Back, BO rem 23 (27, 31, 35) sts for Left Shoulder.

Right Front
Work as for Left Front, reversing all shaping.

Sleeves (make 2)
With smaller needles and MC, cast on 41 (41, 43, 43) sts. Work in Garter St for 4 rows. Change to larger needles and work in col pat; AST inc 1 st each edge every 4 rows 0 (6, 10, 10) times, then every 6 rows 18 (14, 11, 11) times—77 (81, 85, 85) sts. Work even in est pat until piece measures 18" from beg, BO all sts.

Finishing
Sew Shoulder seams. Mark Right Front edge for 5 buttonholes evenly spaced.

Neckband:
With circular needle and MC, pick up and k 50 (56, 60, 66) sts along Right Front edge, 38 (40, 42, 42) sts along Right Front Neck, 32 (34, 36, 38) sts along Back Neck, 38 (40, 42, 42) sts along Left Front Neck, and 50 (56, 60, 66) sts along Left Front Edge—208 (226, 240, 254) sts total.
Next Row: Work in Garter St, working buttonholes by BO 2 sts at each marker.
Next Row: Cast on 2 sts over bound off sts from previous row. Work 2 more rows in Garter St, BO all sts.

Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons on Left Front edge to correspond with buttonholes.
