How to Submit Your Original Pattern to the CP
Library
|
If you would like to submit your original pattern to the
CP Library, please follow these guidelines to help us in
getting it published quickly.
- Write out your materials list, include quantities as
needed to complete the project.
- Write out your instructions clearly and precisely.
Use of the accepted crochet abbreviations is appreciated,
such as SC (single crochet), DC (double crochet), FP
(front post), BP (back post), etc. If you use a stitch
that is different or not well-known, please prepare a
stitch pattern to go with it.
- Double check your instructions for typos, alignment,
spelling, etc. Make sure that your * *s and [ ]
are in the right places.
- Take a clear photo of your finished work that we can
use as a model. Have your photo scanned and send it to us
to include with your pattern. The proper graphic format
to save your photo as and to send it to us is either GIF
or JPG. Please do not send large graphic files to us
(under 100K is best). If you cannot get hold of a
scanner, we can scan the photo for you. Contact us to get
a mailing address to send the photo to.
- Include your full name and email address for the
copyright notice. Since we do not pay for the patterns,
you hold the copyright. Submission of your pattern in the
CP Library gives us permission to publish it.
- Send your patterns and pictures to patteds@crochetpartners.org
