The key into your entire system

It's safe to say that you interact with your keyboard more than any other part of your system. It has to be easy and comfortable to use. Function and reliability better be standard. IBM knows this. That's why we design and build our keyboards with human engineering considered first.

Keyboard interfaces

All AT/PS style keyboards IBM's keyboard interfaces are divided into two styles: AT and PS. The AT connections use a 5-pin DIN for keys. The PS connections use the 6-pin mini-DIN for the keys as well as an additional 6-pin mini-DIN for the mouse function. The PS-style connections are compatible with most IBM Personal Systems(1), ThinkPad computers, PC 300 Series and PC 700 Series systems and Aptiva computers, as well as compatible machines from other leading manufacturers.

Standard Keyboard--AT/PS style with Windows 95 feature

Now there's a new standard. It's the IBM Standard Keyboard with 104 keys. Three new function keys--two start keys and one applications key--have been added so you can take full advantage of Windows 95. The two start keys (left and right) conveniently start up the Windows 95 menu, while the applications key instantly brings up a menu of applications available for your immediate use.

The Standard Keyboard's rubber-dome key technology makes it extremely quiet and very affordable. Other performance features in the new 104-key layout include: 12 function keys, scroll, num and caps lock, cursor directional keys, numerical keypad and more. To complement your ThinkPad or desktop system, this keyboard comes in two colors, raven black or pearl white.

The Standard Keyboard can be used with most IBM Personal Systems(1), ThinkPad computers, PC 300 Series and PC 700 Series systems, Aptiva computers and compatibles. It's IBM quality at a low price.

Enhanced Keyboard--AT or PS style

A 101-key keyboard with built-in numeric keypad, the IBM Enhanced Keyboard has 12 function keys and three lighted mode indicators. It is available in two versions: one for use with most IBM Personal Systems,(1) ThinkPad computers, PC 300 Series and PC 700 Series systems, Aptiva computers and compatibles, and one for use with AT-compatible systems.

Featuring buckling-spring technology that gives extraordinarily positive, tactile feedback, the Enhanced Keyboard is designed with user-adjustable feet and a curved profile that is ideal for comfortable use in all work environments.

The IBM Enhanced Keyboard can be ordered separately as an upgrade or replacement.

Enhanced Keyboard with TrackPoint II--PS style only

This keyboard offering from Options by IBM has the revolutionary TrackPoint II cursor control device integrated in IBM's popular 101-key Enhanced Keyboard. TrackPoint II is IBM's innovative, easy-to-use pointing device that allows you to move the cursor around the screen with just the touch of a finger. You can be more productive because your hands never need to leave the keys. Two buttons below the keyboard's spacebar operate like mouse buttons.

Rugged and reliable, the Enhanced Keyboard with TrackPoint II also includes a 17-key numeric keypad, 12 function keys and three lighted mode indicators. Every key has IBM's buckling-spring technology that gives you positive tactile and audible feedback. Its design incorporates user-adjustable feet and a curved profile that is ideal for comfortable use in all work environments. To complete the look of your system, this keyboard comes available in raven black or pearl white.

If you never have enough room on your desk, the integrated TrackPoint II eliminates the need for a mouse and saves your precious desk space for other work. And if you're used to the convenience of the TrackPoint II on your ThinkPad, why not have it at your desktop, too.

For your work that requires intensive cursor control, the Enhanced Keyboard with TrackPoint II offers maximum flexibility. Your mouse doesn't have to disappear, just attach it to the keyboard. Now you have complete control.

The Enhanced Keyboard with TrackPoint II may be ordered separately as an upgrade or replacement for the keyboard supplied with an IBM or compatible system using PS-style connections. This means it works with IBM Personal Systems,(1) as well as with IBM ThinkPad computers, PC 300 Series and PC 700 Series systems, Aptiva computers and a wide spectrum of industry-standard PCs.
