The TREE MACHINE-The Slide Presentation consists of 8 relatively large gif files and takes about 2 minutes to fully load. After loading, each image is displayed about 20 to 25 seconds for review. The cycle then repeats. Loading and viewing times are effected by the viewers PC and configuration. The images for the TREE MACHINE are oversized. A PAPER MAKER'S DILEMMA
I once heard of a start-up caper.
Where midst the noise and the vapor.
The drive was perverse
Flew into reverse.
And the machine made trees out of paper.

"LIFE IMITATES ART"
We don't know if Bill Boyce had any specific time or place in mind when he composed the Paper Maker's Dilemma above, but we found the real story. Click here to read about the day in the early 50s when Knut almost made trees on PM3.
|ABOUT THE TREE MACHINE |
THE TREE MACHINE is a proprietary concept of Luigi Bagnato and has evolved over a long period of time. The original presentations were hand drawn overhead slides followed later by professionally imaged overheads. Since then, the presentations were made using 35MM slides augmented with a video and sound track. The Tree Machine has been presented at meetings of TAPPI, PIMA, CPPA, The Pulp Chemical Association, University of Maine-Summer Institute and many corporate meetings.
|MAKING COPIES OF THE TREE MACHINE |
We have had many requests for copies of The Tree Machine. Please feel free to copy these images. We used the Alchemy Mindworks, Gif Construction Kit to make this presentation. An alternative is to copy the 8 separate images and display them individually in sequence. If you require information on how to assembly the images for a presentation, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
