Bob Greenberg - University of Tennessee-Knoxville

Robert M. (Bob) Greenberg has served as the Director of Career Services at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville for the past sixteen years. His interesting career path has included opportunities both in the United States and internationally. After serving in the Peace Corps in Iran and at Kabul University in Afghanistan, Bob completed a doctorate in Higher Education Administration at lndiana University. After two years with the State Commission for Higher Education in Indiana, he was offered the position of Associate Director of Business Placement at I.U. Three years later, in 1979, Bob moved on to become the Director of Career Development and Placement at The University of Cincinnati. In 1984 he assumed his current responsibilities at UT - Knoxville.

Bob has been very active in the profession, serving in many leadership roles within regional associations and NACE. He became President of MCPA after having served as Chair of the Research Committee, Treasurer and Vice President-College. In addition, Bob has held various positions in SACE, including Spring Conference Chair, Professional Development Chair, Board of Directors, Vice President-College and the 1994 Annual Conference Co-Chair. NACE has also benefited from Bob's leadership involvement through his work on the CPC Foundation Advisory Group and currently as a member of the Honors and Recognition Committee.

Throughout his career, Bob has been a frequent presenter at regional and CPC/NACE conferences, as well as an author of numerous articles published in the Journal of Career Planning and Employment. His exceptional contributions to the field have been recognized nationally, both as a recipient of the Chevron Award and then as an inductee into the prestigious NACE Academy of Fellows in 1998.
