Directions

Directions to campus can be found on the CMU web-site. The acutal meeting rooms will be in Baker Hall (pictured) in A 51 (Giant Eagle Auditorium) and A53 (H&SS Auditorium). The Wednesday Reception will be in the Atrium outside the conference meeting area. On-site registration and programs will be available starting at 5pm on Wedmesday the 4th. (Signs with directions for the CAP conference will be placed around the campus.)

Dormitory and Hotel Information

On-campus accommodations will be available in the New House residence hall on the Carnegie Mellon main campus.The check-in location is the Summer Conference Office located in Mudge House Gardens on the corner of Morewood Avenue and Fifth Avenue . Go to the online registration site for further information or contact Summer Conference Office at 412-268-4101.

CAMPUS PARKING

Arrangements to park your vehicle while attending the conference can be made in advance for participants registering for the CAP Conference. Go to the online Registration FORM to reserve your conference parking.

HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS

A block of rooms has also been reserved at the Holiday Inn University Center (a short walk from campus). The room rate is $109 per night and reservations received after July 19th will be provided on a "space available" basis (group rate may no longer apply). Contact the Holiday Inn University Center directly at 1-800-864-8287 and mention the CAP Conference. You can also register online at the Holiday Inn website. The Group Code is "CAC".

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT

For those arriving from the airport, there are three public transportation options. A "limo" service to the University Holiday Inn (Oakland), taxi (about $40 dollars), or the Port Authority "Airport Flyer: 28X" (for the price of a bus fare, you can get to Forbes and Moorwood on the CMU campus).
