North American CAP Programs at Carnegie Mellon

The first Computing and Philosophy conference was held at Cleveland State University in 1986. Its program was mostly devoted to technical issues in logic software. Over time, CAP conferences expanded to cover all aspects of the convergence of computing and philososphy. In 1993, Carnegie Mellon became a host site. The program archives presented here cover CAP programs at Carnegie Mellon from 1995 tthrough 2002. Today CAP is a truly international organization with CAP conferences held throughout the world. Go to iacap.org for more information on these conferences and their programs.

You can use the programs below to see the many different topics that have been addressed at the Carnegie Mellon CAP conference over the years. You can also browse these programs as well as the programs listed on the site for the International Association for Computing and Philosophy (IACAP) to get ideas for submitting proposals.
