I had heard from exactly every direction that this movie was real awful. From the bashing of professional critics to plain bad mouth from the audience.

But I wanted to see it for myself and get an opinion of my own and I must say I was blown away. Everything from the beautiful atmosphere to the chilling music and not to forget the superb cast. I was real glad that they didn't throw in a Brad Pitt or equivalent into a movie such as this, since they (in my opinion) tend to take the edge off of these kind of things.

I suggest you see this one not with the intention of a good fright-movie or psychological thriller á la The Sixth Sense. Because in that case you will be disappointed, and quite frankly, this movie is way too good for that.

So, to wrap it up: Have no uncalled-for expectations, zone out all the bad reviews and forget for a second that it's a M. Night Shyamalan movie and you will doubtlessly see an exceptional movie.
