About A4 Notebook
An A4 Notebook is slightly larger than a B5 Notebook, even though it has far fewer contributors-- actually, only one. This started as a very sparsely populated bbs type of thing, but I figured I'd get more use of the domain if I just made it my blog.

This is a Scoop based site. What is Scoop? Well, the main development site is at scoop.kuro5hin.org. Go there if you would like to set up your own discussion site.

Alternate Title: Ə

So the past few days have been a bit chilly here in Tokyo in the evening. Last night Et-chan forgot to turn on the electric blanket before turning in and was shivering under the cold cotton sheets.

Some nocturnal instinct caused her to try to complain in French-- maybe whining sounds better in a foreign (to us both) language. Some would maintain that French is in fact the perfect language in which to whine.

"Il fait choid," she said.

Well, which is it? Hot or cold? Chaud or froid? Maybe just nurui? Or, is the world just saying "uh" with no stress at all?

I doubt if anyone is checking this site, but if you are, well, expect everything to go to hell over the next few days.

I wrote a short description of it here on my student website, but I think I'll post a few notes here about what we did to get ready for the trip. It was a really productive lesson. I wish they all could be this good.

B5 Notebook is a Scoop-based site I have set up for my students to use. Although I created it for a specific course, it is open to the public. Other teachers and students are more than welcome to join in.
