Summary
Gary Sparrow (Nicholas Lyndhurst) wanders down Ducketts Passage in the East End of London and finds himself back in 1940.
He goes into a pub called the Royal Oak and meets the lovely Phoebe Bamford (Dervla Kirwan).
When Gary finds that he can move between the 1990s and the 1940s at will, he quickly develops a double life.
In the 1990s, he has his bossy wife Yvonne (Michelle Holmes), his job as a TV repairman and his best friend Ron Wheatcroft (Victor McGuire).
In the 1940s, he has a developing relationship with Pheobe. She's married when Gary first meets her but, after she becomes a widow, Gary marries her and becomes a time-travelling bigamist. He also fathers a son much older than he is himself.
After the third series, Dervla Kirwan left and was replaced by Liz Carling. Michelle Holmes also left, to be replaced by Emma Amos.
