Size: Approximately 62" long x 53" across widest point, excluding edging.

Materials: Worsted-weight yarn Dawn Sayelle(100% Acrilan acrylic, 3-1/2 oz skein) by Caron: 5 skeins Candy Pink. Crochet hook size 9/I (5.5 mm) or size needed to obtain Gauge.

Gauge: In dc, 18 sts and 10 rows = 4". To save time, take time to check your gauge.

Shawl
Beg at lower point of shawl, ch 5.
Row 1: (RS) Dc into 4th and 5th ch from hook; turn--3 dc made counting turning ch.
Row 2: Ch 5, sk 2 dc, dc into top of turning ch; turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in first dc, ch 1, 3 dc in ch-5 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in 3rd ch of ch-5; turn--9 dc, 2 ch-1 sps made.
Row 4: Ch 5, (sc in ch-1 sp, ch 4) across, ending with sc in top of turning ch-3; turn.
Row 5: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in ch-4 sp; *ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-4 sp; rep from * across; turn.
Row 6: Rep Row 4.
Row 7: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in first sc; *ch 1, 3 dc into next ch-4 sp; rep from * across, ending with ch 1, 3 dc in first ch of turning ch-5; turn.
Rep Rows 4-7 until shawl measures approximately 53" across at widest point, ending after Row 5 of pat. Fasten off.

Edging
With WS facing, join yarn with a sl st at beg of last row.
Row 1: *Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in edge of a dc row along side, ch 3, sl st in edge of next dc row; rep from * to bottom point, work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in center st of bottom 3-dc group; rep from * up

other side; end with ch 3, sl st to last dc of side; turn leaving top edge of shawl unworked.
Row 2: Ch 3, sk first ch-3 sp; *(dc, ch 1) 5 times in next ch-3 sp, sl st in next 2 ch-3 sps, ch 1; rep from * across; end with ch 3, sl st to last ch of previous row. Fasten off.
