The Krankies Klub
UK, ITV (LWT), Children's sketch, Colour, 1982
Starring: The Krankies, Jimmy Cricket, Bobby Davro

Established as regulars on the BBC1 children's series Crackerjack, the Krankies' first own series kame kourtesy of LWT, where they heaped skool-dinner size (and just about as palatable) helpings of 'fandabidozi' fun at younger viewers. Like a kross between Jimmy Clitheroe and Andy Stewart, wee Jimmy's short-trousered and skool-kapped kwips provided many a merry mirthful moment, and they were aided by regular supporting acts and special guests (including the then unknown Lisa Stansfield and Brian Conley).

Researched and written by Mark Lewisohn.
