Welcome to Jakobsen's Jaegers
Regimental History
As a mercenary company under the official employ of the Crown, Jakobsen's Jaegers is a band of haphazardly recruited thieves, scoundrels and sell-swords led by a nucleus of officers and sous-officiers from the disbanded 13th Pronteran Legion.
The Legio XIII Rapax (Predator), in its last battle against a mixed undead and orc horde, was all but wiped out under mysterious circumstances in the mountainous area between Geffen and Al De Baran. Under the pretext of the humiliation of a Pronteran Legion being defeated in battle, the survivors were disbanded and the 13th's number stricken from the records and histories. The survivors keep their silence on pain of death.
The senior surviving centurion, Haans Jakobsen, refused to allow the memory and the sacrifice of the 13th to fade away. He raised a mercenary company from the dregs of Pronteran society with a cadre of leaders from the 13th, styled it as Jakobsen's Jaegers, and then presented himself to the Crown as a commander of auxiliary troops. The mercenaries were then contracted into the Pronteran Armed Forces as Jakobsen's Jaegers Contract Auxiliary Regiment being officially mustered as the Cohors Primae Pronterarum Alaria Equitata Quingenaria or “The First Composite Pronteran Auxiliary Cohort, Five Hundred Strong”.

What the Emblem means
Jakobsen's Jaegers: The Cohors' (battalion) informal name after the last surviving Cohort Prefect of the 13th Legion, Haans Jakobsen. It's pronounced Yah-kob-sens Yei-gers.
Cohors Primae Pronterarum Alaria: The Cohors' formal name. It means First Battalion of Pronteran Auxiliaries (mercenaries).
Shield: That's a tilting (jousting) shield of late medieval German origin.
The Spade: According to legend, Haans slotted an Ace of Spades into his armor and never lost a battle ever since.
XIII: The number of the dead 13th Legion, from which the Cohors drew its original officers.
II: The number of the Centuria (Company, pronounced Ken-tour-yah) represented, one of six Centuriae in a Cohors Quingenaria. Gefenica is the Centuria's name and Eranelle is its Centurio (captain).
The Knight: I think Myung's knights look like hick sissies and their armor is badly designed. This is what I think a Jaeger knight should look like. This one is a generic Road-Constable in full plate and armed with a greatsword (any 2-handed sword).
