Classical Music

The 2003 Programme offers an extraordinary and epic programme of classical music that spans several centuries and showcases the very best of contemporary classical music.

From the gargantuan orchestral and choral forces of Arnold Schoenberg's Gurrelieder to the captivating sounds of Steve Reich and musicians in "Drumming" as part of the Mandurah International Opera Festival, this resplendent programme of Classical Music offers quality for all ages.

The Third Chamber Music Festival makes a welcome return with a programme of finesse and grandeur that features the great contemporary composer Magnus Linberg and a residency programme featuring virtuosic chamber musicians from Australia and across the globe.

An additional highlight of the Chamber Music Festival is the Great Southern Chamber Classic performed for the first time in the Observatory Restaurant in Denmark.

Celebrate your Australia day in style with a two concert series with the heart melting sounds of Gurrelieder performed by the Australian Youth Orchestra or the morning chamber concert featuring soprano Patricia Rozario.
