US Lacrosse will host the International Lacrosse Federation (ILF) and International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations (IFWLA) Under-19 World Championships June 26-July 5, 2003, at Towson (Md.) University. The event will mark the first time the men's and women's U-19 world championships are conducted jointly.
US Lacrosse has appointed Ryan McClernan chair of the 2003 Under-19 World Championships Committee, and Beth Reisinger as event coordinator.

The fifth men's tournament will feature: Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Iroquois, Japan, South Korea, the U.S. and Wales. The third women's tournament will include: Australia, Canada, England, Japan, Scotland, the U.S. and Wales.

Towson Stadium, fresh off a $31.5 million upgrade, is one of the finest lacrosse facilities in the world. The recent renovations included the addition of a state-of-the-art press box, permanent seating on both sides of the field, and a new field house containing office space and locker rooms. Seating capacity has been expanded to 11,198. An eight-lane track surrounds the Astro Turf 12 playing surface.
Prohibited Items: You are not allowed to bring backpacks, bottles, coolers, large purses, picnic baskets and/or live animals into Towson Stadium!

Games Schedule
The 2003 U-19 World Championships schedule features 50 games over 10 days, beginning with a Canada/England showdown on the men's side Thursday evening, June 28, and culminating in the women's and men's finals Saturday evening, July 5. The schedule is available in PDF format by clicking here.
Event History
The U-19 World Championships began as an ILF event in 1988 in Adelaide, Australia. The event was held every four years before switching to 1999. The U.S. has won each of the previous four championships. The IFWLA began its U-19 championship in 1995 in Haverford, Pa. Australia and the U.S. have each won one title.

What To Do in Baltimore
Towson is the county seat of Baltimore County and is home to numerous restaurants, shops, and the Towson Town Center mall. Towson University is just 10 miles north of downtown Baltimore, which features the Inner Harbor and historic neighborhoods such as Canton, Federal Hill and Fells Point. From the Inner Harbor, you're a quick walk or a water taxi ride away from attractions like the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center and Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
