One size fits most.

Materials used:

Version 1 [MC] Lana Grossa Due Chine [50% Merino Fine, 50% Acrylic]; shade 405; 1 ball
Version 2 [MC] Berroco Suede [100% Nylon]; shade 3729, Zorro; 1 ball

One 24-inch 6.5mm/US 10.5 circular needle (for lana grossa)

One 24 inch 5.0mm / US8 circular needle (for suede)

Version 1: 12 st/18 rows in 4”/10 cm stockinette stitch
Version 2: 20 sts/28 rows in 4”/10 cm stockinette stitch

Snuggle is knit flat. Pattern is written for Version 1, Version 2 is in [ ].

Stitch Patterns
Seed Stitch [SS] over odd number of sts
Row 1: P1, k1
Row 2: P1, k1

Bobble [BB]
Row 1: In the same stitch *knit in the front and back* 2 times, turn.
Row 2: P4, turn.
Row 3: K4, turn.
Row 4: P4, turn.
Row 5: Slip the 4 stitches to the right needle and slip the 2nd st from the needle tip over the first, repeat for the 3rd stitch, repeat for the 4th stitch.

Buttonhole [BH]
Row 1: YO, k2tog


Pattern

Cast on 19 [31]sts.
Row 1: [RS] Work SS across
Row 2: [WS] Work SS across
Row 3: Buttonhole row. P1, k1, BH, work in pattern across to last 3 sts, BB, k1, p1.
Row 4 & 5: Work SS across

Pattern change
Row 6: P1, k1, p1, k1, purl to last 4 sts, k1, p1, k1, p1
Row 7: P1, k1, p1, k1, knit to last 4 sts, k1, p1, k1, p1

Repeat these 2 rows until piece measures 9 ½”/24cm from cast on edge, at the same time work a BH and BB on the same row every 2 ½”/6.5cm. Rows 15 & 27[21 & 39]

Continue in this pattern until row 37[57] has been knit. Work the next 5 rows in SS with a BH and BB row on Row 39[59].

Bind off in SS and weave in all ends.

To use: wrap the Seat Belt Snuggle around your seat belt and use the bobbles as buttons*. Each time you belt yourself in, adjust the position of the Snuggle to cushion your neck and shoulder.

*If the buttonholes slip off the bobbles too easily, try stuffing yarn scraps into the bobble from behind. If the scraps will not stay in the bobble, use some thread to sew up the opening.
