To the left is yet another excellent 3D model for JonoF's Duke 3D port. This time, it's the Lizard Trooper, which has been skillfully crafted by Zilppuri. For more 3D model and hi-res texture news and downloads, check out the Duke 3D Source Forum.

Well, it really isn't directly related to Duke Nukem Forever, but it is still fairly entertaining. TmsT has released a Flash movie over at Newgrounds regarding our favorite subject, Duke Nukem Forever. Since DNF related news is scarce these days, I shall say no more! Check it out here while you wait for more DNF related updates.

Duke Nukem 3D released for Mac OS X
11/29/04 14:17 PST | Community News |
Eclipse
More advances on the Duke 3D porting front, this time for the Macintosh. Ryan Gordon has released his port of Duke 3D for Mac OS X. There is also a brief article with some useful tips in the 'Comments' section, here.
This package includes an installer that will install the game from either the PC "Atomic Edition" disc, or the MacSoft disc from the Mac Classic version of the game. If you don't have a retail disc, the installer can give you the free shareware episode. TCP/IP networking and an OSX version of the level editor are included, but are intentionally hidden. Use at your own risk. :)
Thanks to Andy Yarger for letting me know about this.

Abe Rahey
In honor of the great Half-Life crowbar, the good folks at GameSpy have put up a top ten list of the best first-person melee weapons out there. After all, in order for a game to be a true first-person shooter you just have to have a melee weapon to default to when you run out of ammo! The number five weapon is.. you guessed it! The boot from Duke Nukem 3D!

Be sure to check out the entire article here.
