Doctor Who | News | 08 December 2003

Think of a number

Thirteen possible storylines to make up the new series?

Mal Young, one of the executive producers behind the new series of Doctor Who, recently appeared on BBC Three's entertainment show Liquid News.

Inevitably, the subject of the new series cropped up and Mal mentioned that Russell T Davies had produced thirteen storylines, which he described as "great".

We contacted BBC Publicity for confirmation of this. Their response was that Russell T Davies has developed thirteen possible storylines.

The keyword here is possible. It doesn't mean that thirteen episodes will be made, and it is unlikely that Russell will be writing them all.

But fingers crossed, we could be getting quite a lot of Who.
