Cher and Share Alike
|
Fans of Cherilyn LaPierre Sarkisian aka Cher everywhere except the US are in for a treat. A 2CD of her greatest hits, and she has had a few, is on the way. The Very Best of Cher will be the most compressive collection of her work to date, going back to her early hits 'I Got You Babe' and 'The Beat Goes On' with ex-husband, the late Sonny Bono. As Sonny and Cher, the duo became two of the most well known performers in the world and had their own variety show on TV. Their last hit together 'A Cowboy's Work Is Never Done' from 1972 is also on the album. Cher's solo career started with her 1966 hit 'Bang Bang'. The original as well as the re-recorded version with Jon Bon Jovi are both on the album. Rare Cher duets are included. There is 'Love Can Build A Bridge' with Chrissie Hynde and Neneh Cherry, 'Piu Che Puoi' with Eroz Ramazotti, 'Dead Ringer For Love' with Meatloaf, originally from one of his albums, and 'After All' with Chicago's Peter Cetera. Of course, 'Believe' kicks off the tracklisting. 'Believe' is her biggest single ever and is the best selling single ever for Warner Music, doing over 10 million sales worldwide. 'The Very Best Of Cher' will be available from Monday September 14 in Australia and later across the rest of the planet.
