PhantomRockFan writes: I think the Juliana Theory are awesome, but from this article, a vast part of their audience seems made up of posers who would rather be at an 'nsync concert. That may sound harsh, but in my opinion, it would be better playing a show with a small group of people that fully appreciates the music than a group of Brittany Spears wanna-bes who go just to be seen. I think it's great that the Juliana Theory is getting well-deserved attention, but it seems almost worthless in group comprised of teenyboppers like the ones in the "Wet Seal" fashion show picture.
Natalie writes: were not teenyboppers, i hate n'sync, juliana theory is awesome, u cant deny that, so what makes u think that we dont appreciate their music like every1 else?! If u wanna criticize ne one for being there then do it to yourself, its for the love of the music baby not what u wear!! I dont wanna be Britany SPears my tits r real, and im not posing to be ne one but me! We rocked that concert just like every1 else, so represent hun!
taylor writes: Hey i just wanna say that my sister and her friends are in the wet seal fashion show and i like juliana theory is cool ! i am only 11 years old and i have already eaten supper with chad form the band and watched the steelers football game w/him ! They rock ! DOnt denie it!
Chris Pecoraro writes: I ate a football with Chad and watched him eat dinner, top that....
Jeanie Louise writes: I bagged Josh Kosker's sweat, I'm selling it on ebay.
Julie writes: I love the picture of the little girl (stephanie) although its a biased opinion because I am her aunt. anyway the juliana theory is an awesome band! wish i could've gone to the show but I live far away!

Skum writes: I think it is funny how you got those girls to pose all nice and then ripped them up on the site. Keep up the excellent cynicism Chris.
Hijiinx writes: Hey! Do any of the wet seal middle-school fashion show girls wanna give up their digits? Can any of THEM eat a football?
kevin writes: yea. bring on the middle schoolers.
Susan writes: "...posers who would rather be at an 'nsync concert."

Who ever wrote these comments are rude, self centered, and jealous. I dont think that they have any right to dis the girls on the site. They were at the concert and got noticed...Mabey the author of these horible comments was there as well, but they didnt get their picture taken or placed on the site. The girls are all very pretty, and weither they are considered "punk band junkies" or not it shoudlnt matter. The people on this site should me glad that the Theory has such a wide range of fans. And just because the girls are cute and have blonde hair, does not mean that they have to like 'Nsync or Britney Spears. They obvicioulsy dont if there into the Theory.
Who truly cares??? writes: Why does everyone feel so passionate on the issue of posers??? Who ever made the rude comments before shouldn't have made them. It takes all kinds of people to make up the world. Only those girls know why they went. No matter where you go in life there are going to be fakes -- no insult intended towards anyone-- it's become an all too common occurance in today's society. Criticism like this is what causes alot of problems in life. Nobody knows for sure why those girls were there except those girls. From their comments, they sound like they were there for the music. As long as they were being themselves, who truly cares??? Even if they weren't, there's nothing that anyone can do about it. People shouldn't be stereotyped for any reason--and that goes both ways. It doesn't matter if you're on the "punk" part of the spectrum or the "in" part of it, or even if you stray from conformity of any sort. Like what you like and don't worry about anything else.
Skum writes: Punk has become the "in" side of the spectrum.
Megan writes: Chris, I love how we discuss this at their shows then you write something about it. You're amazing... you married yet? Haven't seen Josh Kosker in a while, I'll have to see what the McKee's are up to tonight, haha. Guess what girls? Neil, the drummer, has a really great Jetta, maybe when you see one you can chase after it! Everyone sucks, your 10 and you know nothing, go die now. Nate, you're such an f'in rock star, I'm so glad I knew you before you were AWIJ.
Justin writes: Your calling those girls posers just because they don't dress punk? You don't have to dress "punk" to like music like it... Hell, I dress like a preppy but I don't like N'sync and pop bands like them. It's just the way I want to look. Juliana Theory isn't even as much punk, they are more rock.. But I was proving a point. Those girls in the "fashion show" are beautiful. Personally I can't stand some of the girls who can just ruin their looks by "punking" themselves out. I know it's an expression and I know it's to be different. I just don't understand why they have to be that way. Just my opinion. I'm definetely likin' those girls in the pic. haha. Fashion show hell yeah. Too bad I wasn't at that show.. :( -Justin
tim writes: Hey, im responding to the comments about the "teenyboppers." I don't see why it matters to anyone what those girls are about. They looked great in the picture and i dont see why anyone is complaining. Thanks for keepin it up. Punk rock is turning into click and sometimes its turning people away. I', with justin all they way, punk rock girls 9 times out of 10 look horrible all decked out...dont worry girls, we'll see ya at the next show!
tron writes: I notice nobody defending the look of the so called "punked out" girls in the scene. "I just don't understand why they have to be that way." What a comment. Glad to see you're all communicating well and understand that tolerance is one of the biggest facets of punk. Give it a rest. If you dress punk, someone thinks yer hot. if you dress in abercrombie, someone else thinks yer hot. let it go at that.

christie writes: I went out with Josh fedler, went out with josh koskers older brother and live next to them top that!
nicole writes: yeah, jsut as a side note, only one of the little wet seal girls has blonde hair, so their hair color has nothing to do with the fact that they were branded preppies( that probably had to do with thier clothes and the fact that they posed all nice and purdy). anyway, the juliana theory are great, and its cool to see that their fans branch out from the normal "emo/indie" scene, though it is a bit dissapointing when you go to a show just to be behind some little girl wearing too much hairspray who went there because they thought the band was "cute". but hey, no complaints

Laga's new 'Theory', bigger, faster, more by Chris Pecoraro Brad Hlavach [bio]
The Juliana Theory fanbase is growing, spreading now at an unprecendented pace, alomost like a wild-fire, through suburban schools. It is evident tonight, as a teenager touting a "Bethel Park Wrestling" jacket repositions his girlfriend from the top tier of Club Laga's balcony to get a better view. While two large video screens project a musicbox-superhero twenty-five foot tall likeness of Brett Detar, Juliana frontman, the atmosphere is certainly surreal, but is this a local rock show or the Woodstock Festival?
Booking agent Jon Rinaldo of Joker Productions has been recently displaying his productions recently to larger and larger audiences, skillfully sharing one larger event with the producers at M (formerly Metropol), a date with SUM 41, and 31st Pub for the smaller ones, such as VH1's "Harley darlings", Harlow.
Possibly, Rinaldo is feeling a calling, or maybe more appropriately, an obligation, to recover many of the touring acts that previously at Graffiti, and The Beehive, both venues that are now closed.
The Juliana Theory and Club Laga serve as examples of pieces of the local "organized" puzzle, one that uses a few "behind-the-scenes" tactics, such as affiliations with Ticketmaster and contracts with deep-pocketed record labels with hopes to draw a national eye our way.
Arguably "anti-DIY" by some local punk groups, such as Adam Social of PittPunk.com, Joker's recent efforts are nonetheless some of the most globally visible. As one of the big three (Joker, Elko, SFX), he serves the indie scene's last bridge to bigger stages, bigger crowds.
The Juliana Theory, about to embark on a major label voyage of their own, have got the surburban "15-21" sector well in their cradle, and the catchiness of the songs suggest an expansive fan base.
