Harvey gets himself out of the jungle

Star quits show after gran’s death

BRIAN HARVEY sensationally quit the jungle today on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!

The former East 17 star packed his bags and walked out of the camp.

Harvey, 30, had been struggling with his emotions following the death of his grandmother.

News of her death was broken to him on his arrival in Australia and he entered the jungle a day late.

On Wednesday, he faced the grim House of Pies challenge in which he had to eat insect-infested pies covered by a swarm of flies.

And viewers had seen Harvey become increasingly upset by the number of flies which had found their way into his camp bed.

ITV said it did not yet know the circumstances of Harvey’s departure.

Earlier, former All Saint Natalie Appleton put her row with model Sophie Anderton to one side only to fail abysmally at her second Bushtucker Trial.

Natalie only managed to get two stars in her live trial, which involved being suspended above various boxes filled with creepy-crawlies and putrid slime.

She took some time to decide whether or not to attempt the trial last night, screaming: "Help me mummy - I’m going to be sick".

First, she was plunged into a 5ft box filled with cold water and eels, one of which she squashed. "I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt that eel," she said. "I just hurt that eel, you know? I really squashed him."

The second box was filled with foul-smelling fly pupae.

The singer floundered around in the box before pulling out of the trial, claiming she was about be sick on national television.

"I’m done," she said. "I can’t do it, I just felt my stomach turn upside down. I had no control over my stomach.

"I don’t want to be sick on national television. I just feel I let everybody down."

After the trial, Natalie - who was covered in fly pupae - hugged Dec and plastered the foul smelling substance on his clothes.

Speaking about her row with Sophie, she said: "Everyone was happy that I did it because everyone felt the same way.

"I wasn’t surprised it was me and Sophie (who were the last two nominated for the trial)."

Natalie, 31, had earlier accused I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! rival Sophie of being self-obsessed and all "me, me, me".

But the model and ex-drug addict hit back at Natalie for constantly moaning, and the pair ended up calling each other prima donnas.

The argument broke out when the pop star and model disagreed about who should walk in front when they returned the Celebrity Chest to camp.

Natalie shouted at Sophie: "You do it right and you let everyone know you do it.

"I’m a bit p***** off with you now. You are Miss Perfect for the camera - well you can carry it down by yourself.

"Every day it’s me, me, me!"

Sophie attempted to get her revenge by bringing up the fact that Natalie had been ill.

Natalie replied: "I was ill once. I was ill f****** once." But she said: "You are a prima donna!"

Sophie screamed back: "I’m not freaking out . . . I’m not the one being a prima donna!"

An infuriated Natalie responded: "I didn’t realise being sick p***** you off. I’m really sorry. If you get sick you can f*** off . . . We’ll ask everyone else. Everyone else has had a moan."
