Our Mission

At Gateways College of Naturopathy and Natural Therapeutics, we will endeavor to offer the most comprehensive and in-depth post-secondary vocational education for both the high school graduate and the professional health care provider including; physicians, osteopaths, dentists, veterinarians, chiropractors, nurses or physical therapists, with a commitment to preventative health care and natural therapies.  The course is designed for students at all levels of knowledge and experience in the vocation of Naturopathy.  The various programs will consist of residential classroom hours, seminar programs and independent study, with an internship program, when needed, in a clinic (either Gateways Clinic on Holly Dr. or another cooperating Clinic).

Our Naturopathic and Natural Therapeutic training and study programs are a compilation of modalities and therapies composed by many of the pioneers  and renowned practitioners in the field of natural healing.  Gateways College provides two basic programs.  The P.R.A.N.A Kinesiology program which is an independent study program with weekend seminars and case histories. It's primary focus is kinesiology, nutrition, homeopathy, herbology, flower, gem and sound essences, the study of the chakras and subtle bodies, subtle energies and vibrational therapy, color therapy, energy balancing, the law of the seven elements, emotional stress work, allergy testing and desensitizing, it also includes basic anatomy and physiology.  The Naturopathic Practitioner Course includes all of PRANA. as well as anatomy, physiology, biochemical nutrition, iridology, sclerology, ayurveda, EAV testing, reflexology,  acupressure,  and hydro-therapy.  For these very specialized programs such as Anatomy and Physiology, Bio-Chemical Nutrition, Sclerology, Rayid, Iriodology, Ayurvedic, Bach Flower Program, Aroma Therapy and other Specialized Subjects there will be guest instructors of the very highest caliber in their respective fields.

Upon the successful completion of either the naturopathic program or the PRANA program, the student will be awarded a certificate from Gateways College.  This certificate is recognized as meeting the professional standards of many organizations and professional bodies including; The American Naturopathic Medical Association, The California Naturopathic Association and the International Association of Specialized Kinesiologists.

When the graduate has completed their training they will be qualified to open up a private practice, or work in conjunction with another body i.e., a health food store or fitness center, or with another professional, e.g. a medical, dental or chiropractic doctor.

Gateways College is dedicated to furthering the acceptance of the practice of the Certified Naturopathic Practitioner.  Because of the innate gifts that are involved in this type of healing it is essential that the educational requirements be that of a vocational school rather than a degree program in a university.

Gateways Health, College of Naturopathy & Natural Therapies was founded by Angela Burr-Madsen, a Board Certified Naturopath, a registered Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) and a Specialized Kinesiologist (SK).  The college is designed and structured to train the student in both the art and science of Naturopathy and Natural Therapeutics.
