Dr. Michael L. Brown is founder and president of ICN Ministries, which is devoted to taking the message of repentance and revival to Israel, the Church, and the Nations. He met the Lord in 1971 as a sixteen year-old, heroin-shooting, LSD-using Jewish rock drummer. Since then, he has preached around the world, written more than fifteen books which have been translated into more than a dozen languages, and lectured at leading seminaries. He is committed to helping raise up an army of holy radicals who will spark a spiritual and moral revolution in the land.
Dr. Brown served as a leader in the Brownsville Revival from 1996-2000, helping birth the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and serving as its first president. In January 2001, Dr. Brown helped birth the FIRE School of Ministry, serving as the school’s president as well as the senior team leader of F.I.R.E. (F.I.R.E. is the acronym for the Fellowship for International Revival and Evangelism, now based in Charlotte, North Carolina.) The FIRE School of Ministry serves as a training center for the Jesus Revolution and has sent out graduates across America and around the world. (They are currently serving the Lord full-time in as many as twenty-five nations.) In the Fall of 2002, Dr. Brown, who is a native New Yorker, returned to the city to help establish the FIRE School of Ministry, New York (originally, The Call School of Ministry, New York). He teaches there regularly, dividing his time between Charlotte and New York.
As a Jewish believer in Jesus, Dr. Brown is active in Jewish evangelism and has debated rabbis on radio, TV, and college campuses. He is also a published Old Testament and Semitic scholar, holding a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University. He has served as a Visiting Professor of Jewish Apologetics at Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission and as a Visiting Professor of Old Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Dr. Brown also serves on the leadership team of Harvest International
Ministries (HIM), a network of apostolic ministries headed up by
Pastor Che Ahn.
