Wildcats report: Strategy and personnel |
KEY RETURNEES Forward Vedran Vukusic was the team's leading scorer, finishing with an average of 16.8 ppg. Vukusic appeared to tire in the last month of the season and he needs more scoring support from T.J. Parker, Mohamed Hachad and Mike Thompson next year. If Kentucky transfer Bernard Cote works out, the Wildcats have a chance to be significantly better.

Wildcats report: Getting inside |
The Wildcats had the toughest of assignments entering the Big Ten tournament. If they could win two games they would assure themselves of a .500 season and therefore qualify for the postseason.

Wildcats report: Notes, quotes |
THE GOOD NEWS The Wildcats were a game below .500 in 2003-04 (13-14) and they were also one game under (15-16) this year. With just a little bit of improvement, this team will be playing postseason basketball. With a core group of key players than includes Vedran Vukusic, T.J. Parker and Mohammed Hachad returning, there is a good chance this team will be better in 2005-06.
