Alan began producing racing bike frames in 1972 with the first frames being available in aluminum. Several years later, this technology was also used for producing carbon fiber framesets. The frames were constructed with a unique method by bonding tubes and lugs using a special cement which originated from the areonautical industry.
This method has become a distinguishing factor for the ALAN factory, well noted by the high level frames developed and tested throughout racing over the years which has permitted us to create innovative and yet functional solutions by combining diverse materials which are normally prohibitive using traditional welding methods.

Undoubtedly by now ALAN has affirmed it's place in the cycling sector as one of the few companies that can take advantage of great experience and knowledge of the workmanship and treatment of materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum to construct bicycle racing frames. For this reason, ALAN has for many years provided consulting services to other companies in the sector as a aiding in development and construction exclusively for their clients products.

This racing season, Alan is the official technical sponsor of Women's Professional Team; S.C. Michela Fanini which is ranked #3 in the world and participates in all the major national and international events. The team is composed of 16 athletes including ex-world champion Edita Pucinskaite (Lithuania) and the Danish champion Liesbeth Simper.
