That's right kids, the Challenge Promode Arena team has released yet another collection of their maps. In addition, the update mentions that the promode team is at work on a new release of the mod itself...perhaps we might see some of the OSP slack taken up? Only time will tell, I suppose...
Anyway, here's some details (which you can read more thoroughly at promode.org):
Why not hold the map pack back to release with the mod? The Jolt TDM league is just about to start and we wanted to make sure they had the resources they need.
The pack contains 6 Deathmatch (DM/TDM) maps and 3 CTF maps:
- cpm4a - Swelt and Khaile
- cpm18r - Swelt and Lunaran
- cpm26 & cpmctf4, cpm27, cpm29, cpmctf5 - Swelt
- cpm28 - acid
- cpmctf3 - ninemil
The version of cpm18r is newer than the previously released version. As you can see there are quite a few, some of which have been out in one shape or another, all of which should be good stuff...go, download, play.

Last week of play was a good one, iTG came out to cast a match and resulted in good numbers from viewers on both ends. Everything went smooth as I could of wanted it, except the one team who dropped out but that's in the past and doesn't matter much now. I'll explain the prizes below, after the results.

The CPL wishes to address a warning to all Quakenet users:
There are absolutely no official CPL channels on Quakenet. No channel that has CPL in the name or claims any affiliation with the CPL is legitimate. No person wearing CPL tags or using the name of a CPL staff member is a legitimate staff member.
Recently there has been a tremendous increase in the number of Quakenet users impersonating staff and/or opening fake CPL channels for personal gain. These people give out fake or false information regarding our organization and events, and often do things that seem malicious.

Greetings to the Quake 3 community,
Thank you to all the teams that participated in the Central-Havoc Invitationals Rocket Arena 3 tournament! We at CHi appreciate that we were given the opportunity to revive RA3. Without you, it would not have been possible, and it would not have been such a huge success.
CHi would also like to thank our great sponsors, CompUSA of Raleigh, NC and Intrex Computers, for providing us with such great prizes for the RA3 tournament. We would also like to thank Gamecloud and MJZ Web Hosting for hosting our RA3 servers and website, respectively. Without such great sponsors none of this would have been possible.

The Global Gaming League has launched another version of their website. This particular incarnation differs from the previous ones in that it will be a gaming magazine with interviews, coverages, gaming media and columns by written by gaming celebrities.
The media section of the GGL website will serve as a steadily growing library of demos as well as audio and video coverage. Already to be found there are videos of the GGL 2k4 Season UT2004 final, Radio iTG shoutcasts and a "Fragumentary" about gaming. Dj Wheat promises it to become more and more bounteous with time.
Very soon the site will be filled to the brim with interviews, columns and articles about gaming. Look forward to all the Players of 2004 being questioned thoroughly (after Wheat's announcement show on Friday) as well as talks with players like miniwalle, Cooller and ZeRo4's father, Retrace. All that in the upcoming weeks, along with more significant announcements by the Global Gaming League.

Before I even begin, lets take a look at the title of this post. Spam = ban, it's easy to understand but for those who have a problem grasping this subject ill explain, you will get 1 warning if you excessivly use a message mode 1 bind. Do it again, oh look you're not playing in the match no more. I cant guarentee each ref will be the same on what they consider spam to be excessive, but if you even have to think about it, it's to much. dont do it. Now for some results.
