West Rail Rolling Stock

 

SP1900: Manufactured in Japan by Kinki Sharyo, these carriages were introduced in 2001 to East Rail passengers and are now serving both East Rail and West Rail, features include:

  • Ergonomic factors all taken into account.
  • Wide doorways and passages to improve passenger access.
  • Horizontal seating and wheelchair spaces.
  • Six colour LCD monitors per carriage providing various info services.
  • Cab controls adopt centre layout, train operator can monitor interior condition via the CCTV.
  • Noise absorptive materials to ensure quietness.
