How should we vote?

When you have to choose, what's most important in a voting system: (a) secure, accurate and reliable results, or (b) effortless and quick results?


Although there has been no official survey, it seems that voters prefer the former and election officials prefer the latter.


The Declaration for Election Quality spells out what is required from a secure, accurate and reliable voting system.  It requires voter-verifiable full-text paper ballots and centralized vote-counting.  To read the Declaration, click


We challenge vendors and election officials to endorse the Declaration, or to document the reasons why they won't do so.


We challenge the press to educate the public, and conduct the survey that finds out what is most important to the voters.
