Kenneth E. Behring is a land developer whose career spans four decades. He also planned and developed communities in Florida, California and Seattle. His company conceived and developed the entire city of Tamarac, Florida in the 1950's which has grown to a population of 60,000. In California, he is best known for his foresight in planning and developing the renowned 2,300-home Blackhawk community in Danville and the 3,800-home Canyon Lakes Development in San Ramon. In Seattle he has created Blakely Ridge, a planned community of 2,200-homes and Grande Ridge, a 2,500 acre commercial and residential development.

He serves on the Board of UC Berkeley, St. Mary's College of California and Holy Names College. He also served as the president of the American Academy of Achievement. He has been honored as Man of the Year by Boys' Town of Italy and Mt. Diablo Foundation.

He actively contributes to the cultural community in California. He has gained recognition through one of the largest and finest classic automobile collections in the world, housed in the Museums at Blackhawk which bear his name.

Ken Behring's latest venture, Summerset at Brentwood, a community development for active adults, meets the growing needs of the youthful aging Americans.
