1356 Output Shaft Conversion

I started out with 2 BW1356's. One has electronic shift and a fixed yoke. The other one uses a manual lever, but uses a slip shaft. What I wanted was a manual shift case with a fixed yoke. Here's how I did it.

• Remove the tailhousing, speedo drive gear, and C-Clip
• Split the case by removing all of the size 50 Torx bolts
  
  
  
  
• Remove a couple more C-Clips and the 2WD/4WD shift fork slides off.
  
  
  
  
• Now you can slide the chain and sprockets off as an assembly
  
• The output shaft can now be pulled out
  

The Electronic shift case comes apart exactly the same way, except you just have to remove the motor which is obvious if you try to do this. Once both shafts were out, I just swapped the cases they belonged to, and put everything back together again. Piece of cake.
