The War of 1812

MUSTER-ROLL of a Company of Infantry Militia under command of Captain John Hamilton, of the Third Detachment of Militia from the State of Ohio, now in the service of the United States, commanded by Lieutenant-colonel James Mills, from the sixth day of February, 1813, when first mustered to continue in service until the sixth day of August, 1813.

John Wynn was a member of the Scipio Odd Fellows' Lodge when it was chartered September, 1875. p.424.


"On the farm of Warner Wynn is a private burying-ground, which has buried in it Nellie Watkins, a woman who figured as a witch in this region in early times.  This witch was but three and a half feet in height. Martin Simmons, an old settler, lies here also.  In the same yard is Chester Agnew, a little boy. All these interments were made over sixty years ago."(written in 1882)p.428.


Ephraim Hall, b. abt 1785, PA, married his first wife, Hannah WYNN in PA. Hannah died in 1819, leaving 2 children,. Benjamin b. abt 1815, married and was living in Mercer Co., OH (1882) Jonathan, b 18 Feb 1818, married and resided in Morgan Twp.p. 436.
