You’re a park professional. An urban planner. A concerned citizen. Why is NRPA important to you? Because parks and recreation is important to you. For more than 100 years, NRPA has been the voice advocating the significance of making parks, open space, and recreational opportunities available to all Americans. That makes NRPA your organization.
Still not convinced? Take a look at some of the exciting things NRPA is doing.
More than five years have passed since NRPA last modified its membership dues. The proposed modified structure will reduce the organization's 15 different membership categories to six, and 25 varying dues rates to 10.
NRPA recently hosted more than 40 park and recreation professionals and program partners, all of whom convened for a two-day dialogue on enhancing the quality of youth sports in America.
In towns all across America, millions of acres of open space that could be transformed into hiking and biking trails, community parks, and local recreation centers is being bulldozed and paved over. Won’t you join NRPA in helping to save these valuable community resources?
