SHOULD I REMAIN SILENT ?

One of the questions I sometimes ask myself is: “Should I remain silent?”

I have in many occasions and from various individuals received nasty and mean letters accusing me of being hate mongers, simply because I have lifted my voice to warn about those who are apostates or compromisers. I am accused of not loving, often by those who show no love at all in their vitriolic accusations.

It makes me wonder if our life would not be à lot easier if I just kept quiet about these matters and if I asked the lord to take care of the false prophets and the false teachers.

Wouldn’t it be easier to be positive rather than negative, to just preach the Gospel and not worry about the liberals, just like the Ecumenists and the compromisers do? The answer to such à question is simple, Yes, it would be much easier to remain silent or to be positive.

But what orders has our Lord Jesus Christ given us through His apostles ?

Jude fancied to write about the common salvation but found it needful to warn about “certain man who crept in unawares” (Jude v.4) Paul spent three whole years with the Ephesians warning them night and day with tears about the grievous wolves from without and the perverters from within. Paul exhorted us to tell the truth “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.” Ephesians;4;25. Paul preached the Gospel and did not remain silent about false teachers or disobedient brothers.

Yes it would be easier to remain silent and never be negative, but to follow that policy would be to disobey the Word of God.

May the lord help us never to give needless offense but to remember that our responsibility is to please God and not men.

The ones who disagree with our biblical position will sometimes come up with the following statement. “God is blessing the ministry of so and so, and God would not bless him if he were doing wrong.” That is human reasoning, but it is not the word of God.

Jesus Christ told us that God “Maketh His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew;5;45

God used Samson, , but that does not mean that God endorsed the character of Samson or all his acts.. God blessed and used David but that does not mean that God approved of David’s sin with the wife of Uriah. David suffered for that.

Too many religious persons flee controversy, and wish truth to be stated without reference to those who hold the opposite errors. Controversy and a bad spirit are in their estimation synonymous terms and to oppose what is wrong is considered as contrary to Christian meekness.

It is a serious thing to be a watchman, for the destiny of precious souls are at stakes Ezekiel: 3;16-21, and Ezekiel;33; 1-9. The watchman must be very alerts to every opportunity and must not be afraid to sound the alarm.

Blind watchman are not faithful for it is written in Isaiah;56;10-12; “His watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping. lying down, loving to slumber.—Yes they are greedy dogs which never have enough,…they all look to their own way, everyone for his gain…”

Paul was a faithful watchman who  was able to say; “Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men---For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts;20;26-27

Even though, the Bible declares in Proverbs;10;20, that “The tongue of the just is as choice silver.”, most of the times à trumpet blower is despised and hated, just like it happened to Ezekiel; “And He said unto me, Son of man go get thee unto the housed of Israel, and speak with My words unto them. “For thou art not sent to à people of strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel.” “Not to many people of à strange speech and of hard language, whose words thou canst not understand, Surely had I sent theee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.” “but the house of Israel will hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.”

WHAT IS LOVE? HOW IS IT MANIFESTED?

True love originates from God, God is love manifested through the Lord Jesus Christ who “loved us and washed us from our sins with His own blood.” God love is pure, powerful and eternal, but there are many satanic and human counterfeits of God’s love such as perverted concepts of love promoted by popular religious denominations.

The ecumenical movement uses love to justify collaboration and cooperation with false teachers and religions, and more recently the Charismatic movement used love to justify an unscriptural position and actions.

In the name of love, the Christian soldier is asked to put down his sword, the watchman is instructed to be silent, the shepherd is told he must not warn about the wolves in the flock. Those who truly love the Lord and manifest His love to others are specifically instructed to separate from false teachers and disobedient brothers. We are also instructed to exercise the Scriptural ministry of reproof and rebuke. Many call it negativism, but God calls it OBEDIENCE.

Whenever love is re-defined to rule out the ministry of admonition and rebuke, the devil rejoices and Satan is given à protected sanctuary inside the church, Christ’s Church.

It is better to be divided by the truth than united by error, it is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, then falsehood that comforts and then kills, it is better to be hated for telling the truth then loved for telling a lie.

It is better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with the multitude.

Jesus Christ said: “I am the way the truth and the life.”
