Howie and Theresa had each built their business to Diamond as singles; Theresa in Hawaii and Howie in Colorado. When they got married, it marked the first time in Quixtar’s history that two Diamonds were married.
Having their two boys, Isaiah and Gabriel has changed their lives, though not in the typical sense of Mom having to go back to work or Dad working hard if Mom chooses to stay home; Dad and Mom were able to leave their careers to build their business full time! It excited them to know that their children will know they are winners early in their lives.
Before starting the business, Howie spent 8 years getting two Bachelors’ and a Master’s degree in physical therapy.
He was introduced to the business by a doctor friend, Dick McCreery, and saw the ability to earn extra income and a way to reach his financial dreams. When Howie met Terry Felber, what most intrigued him was that Terry had control of time, a great marriage and great relationships with his kids. Terry offered to help Howie create the same results in his life.
After attending a major function, Terry and Linda Felbers’ Leadership, Howie saw the bigger picture and built the business quickly—7 months to Silver, 13 months to Ruby and 3.5 years to Diamond. He left a very successful private practice to focus on his business. He chose the great life over the good life.
Theresa worked for her father in his insurance agency as an insurance agent and one day planned to take over from her dad. She was sponsored in the business by her brother, Matt Tsuruda, but did not pursue it seriously until she saw how well Matt was doing. Her personal life was a mess at the time and seeing what Matt had accomplished motivated her to attend a major function, Puryear Family Reunion, in Portland, Oregon. There she received a vision for her life. Theresa believes that the vision we are each given is not based on our own ability but rather on our availability. Four months after Family Reunion she achieved Silver; ten months later it was Ruby, and only 2.5 years later Theresa was in Diamond qualification. She says, “the greatest decision of my life was to build this business”. Her life went from being a life of no self-respect and many compromises to developing a personal motto of “no compromise”.
Her biggest dream during this time was to be married and to experience the incredible relationships she saw so many others having. Her own struggle taught her that when she was facing tough challenges, the best thing for her to do was to focus on other people and serving them. Howie says that Theresa is the most successful person he knows and that it’s because she serves others every day.
Howie and Theresa are moving on to higher levels in the business and helping more people obtain their freedom. They have a cause in their heart and believe whole heartedly in what they do. “Our mission statement is to ‘Help friends and to honor WorldWide DreamBuilders (WWDB), upline leaders, and Ron and Georgia Lee Puryear’. We thank God for everything: our upline who helped us and have gone before us, Quixtar, the WWDB system, the people in the organization. We are truly blessed!”
