Statistician’s Notes
(Pulls 67 thru
118)
3 April, 2001
On pull 51
(Wal-Mart Real New Millennium – region 9, 6 Jan), Gus (60#) was entered as
pulling 1315 on the finish report. It
should have been 1790. There was a 200#
increment and all the other entrants ended in zero; so it was somehow posted
wrong. One of these days, I’ll get cart
weight and increments into the database and check for errors such as this.
Disqualification
Precious, owned by Dwayne Phipps of region 6, was disqualified from 6 pulls in October as Precious was
pregnant at that time. Precious only
lost two points in the process as she attended 12 pulls in all.
Requested Changes
Glory owned by Tina Pederson in region 7. Was sold on or
before 18 March 2001. Consequently,
Glory’s points for the season will be reset (setting provisional on all pulls). Glory was in 1st place with 52
points in region 7, 80-pound class.
Sly and Sly
Guy is the same dog (reported by Terry Reed). Merged them into Sly Guy owned by Janice Guetzmacher, and updated
the pull listings and statistics on the web.
E R R O R S
Pull 102,
Union Gap, WA
Timber – owned by
Judith McCauley. Timber was withdrawn
before the class started, but was left in the line-up with a no-pull. Timber has been removed from the pull to
reflect reality.
Assumptions
Chevy – Region 5,
60#, handled by Regina Caldwell at Pack Forest 17-18 February. Assuming Steve Jackson’s dog, as
Steve had already handled two dogs in the class.
Gabby
–
Region 2, 35#. Susie Malcolm handled
Gabby on the first day of the Sun Dome Pull, and Gary on the second
day. She doesn’t have a dog named Gary
assigned to her. Both were a Cocker at
26 pounds. I am assuming she handled
Gabby the second day.
Confirmed
Topaz – Handled by Brandon
Lutz at the Hillside SPCA pull 3 March.
Assuming Steve Jackson’s dog.
Confirmed
Chevy – Handled by Paul
Lutz at the Hillside SPCA pull 3 March.
Assuming Steve Jackson’s dog.
Confirmed
Chance – Handled by Patrick
Gavin at the Chicago Pull. Assuming
Tim Cunningham’s dog as the right breed and Tim’s name was
written in, then crossed out.
Instead of just assuming
memberships, I am carrying this as a reminder that we have some issues to
resolve. If you are on this as a
“membership not assumed”, besides not acquiring pull points, you are probably
not getting the newsletter either
The following
were marked as members on the organizer's report. Membership has no record and the individuals are assumed
Provisional until confirmation. Their pulls will become valid if membership
records their join date as on or before the pulls in question.
·
Lisa Landers – Did not show as joining at the Derby
Grill pull in Berthoud, CO (pull 69) and membership has no indication of
joining. And, Mark Landers only joined
as individual.
However, a follow-up from Sanctioning has it that Mark’s two dogs (Lukea
& Boogie) were only entered by Lisa; but members handled the dogs.
Later, Mark upgraded to Family.
The following
individuals apparently joined at a pull (shows in the organizers financial
report). Their membership was assumed
with the date of the pull, but is still being watched until the membership
chair has received the paperwork.
·
Kevin & April
Hybeck – apparently joined family at
the Greeley pull on March 17th.
·
Rodney Martin -- apparently joined family at the Greeley pull on
March 18th.
·
Scott Carter – Apparently joined individual on the second day of
the Sutherlin pull, March 25th.
Scott has previously pulled provisional.
· Tracy Brant-Cornell – She had joined in July as individual. Was put into the database as a new member; whereas she was previously in the Cornell membership with Ron. Her dog Brie was pointing to the old membership; so came up provisional. Moved the new entry back to the old membership, and move Ron to Provisional.
· Toni Beninger – Pulled provisional prior to the Leavenworth Pull. Had her in as Beniger, and didn’t catch the spelling change when she and Brian joined in December.
Dropped
Membership Not Confirmed
·
Andy Gingery – handled Titi and Jackie
for Daryl Spauldin at the National Western Dog Pull in Denver on 13
Jan. Andy was marked as a member, but
membership has no record as of 8 Feb., and no indication on the financial
report that he joined at the pull. Unfortunately,
Titi’s effort (came in 1st- would have been 9 points in R4
35#) will be marked as provisional.
·
Phil Kanakis – Listed as a member at the Pack Forest Pull 17
February; but membership doesn’t show him rejoining, and the financial
statement doesn’t show him joining.
Same with the Port Clinton pull 3 March, and others.
Per Debi Pruznick, Phil told her he is not a member.
