Binder
With a top-down perspective, your heroic airborne mission is to penetrate the enemy lines. You have a full arsenal of different weapons to access. Binder exhibits high-quality graphics of which you will recognize elements from two classic arcade games, namely 1942 and Galaga (Galaxian). The game comes with 1 episode containing 7 maps. If you want to expand the gameplay, you can create your own maps with the level editor.

Bugz 4
This is a pretty standard Galaxian clone in which you have to fight insects. There are three different weapons at your disposal: a fast gun with limited ammunition, a slower, more powerful gun with unlimited ammunition, but lower range and a gun which shoots horizontally instead of vertically, to kill off enemies that are close to the ground. The graphics are above average; everything is animated smoothly, with the enemies twitching or flapping their wings as they descend. There are more than 40 levels available, which start out very easy, but become gradually more difficult with the addition of meteorites coming down at high speed and moving barriers between you and your enemies which absorb your shots.
Chicken Invaders
Chicken Invaders is a high quality Galaxian/Space Invaders combo clone. However, it has several features not found in the original space invaders games. Your character's goal is to destroy the chicken army using his missiles and gradually improving weapon. Drumsticks and gift boxes strengthen your fighting capability. Unlike the original space invaders game, Chicken Invaders features high quality 3-d graphics, asteroid levels, and even bosses. It also includes a high score.

Claim Your Rock
This is a Galaxian incarnation in a smaller format both with respect to the game scene and its longevity. I liked this game for what it is - in essence a short but entertaining taste of the classic arcade era, even though it doesn't have too much in common with its original. One noteworthy feature is the speech bubbles (which you probably want to disable later on). In a good sense, Claim Your Rock is also rather hard to play which prevent you from swiftly progress through the levels (waves).

Galactic Battle
After some research, the Gamehippo staff were able to track down the original game company of this old game created in 1991. Since this game was released as a shareware game over 10 years ago, it most likely would be an abandonware game today. That's not good enough for Gamehippo since we only accept freeware game. So we contacted the the game company (SoftDisk LLC) and they agreed to allow Gamehippo.com to post this game as freeware, which we greatfully recognize.
The game itself is a classic piece of gaming history, that we are now able to share with everyone. Galacic Battle features an endless amount of levels. Each level has 11 different waves of aliens. As you progress through the levels, it becomes increasingly more difficult. Naturally the graphical quality cannot match what you find in today's games but it's not important - this is pure nostaliga. The game ran without sound on my PC. Read the included Gb.txt file for more info which also explains how to adjust the game speed.
