Mailliam - index
Welcome to the Mailliam homepage.
Mailliam is a UNIX and possibly Windows, standards compliant, highly Object Orientated, mail client under development, inspired by several other mail clients, such as Qualcomm's Eudora and Mutt. Mailliam has not yet reached a usable state so no release has been made, although you can get the source code from CVS if you really want to.
A lot of time has gone by since the last development on Mailliam, esp due to activities in other projects and work. However Mailliam still lives and development is slow, but steady. I have outlined the features I want to include in the 1.0 release, so work will be put towards those. Once again, if you wish you can take a CVS snapshot and compile it to see our handywork.
Our design is aimed at making a stable and efficient mail client, not to create the next world dominating mail client, as many people already aim for this.
Want to help?
We are always looking for more developers. If you are a skilled, quality-oriented C++ programmer with OO design experience, together with the motivation and dedication to build a Qt mail client, let us know. We're not trying to change the world with this client, but build a solid piece of user-friendly software that has a reasonable set of features. To get a taste for the design, check out the class documentation. And here's a screenshot too.
