Weather news has its politics, too The daily TV weather forecast may not be neutral territory. Personal beliefs influence what a television weathercaster reports about "politically charged environmental issues such as global warming," according to a study released April 11 by the University of Texas at Austin. |

EnvironmentAs human society grows in size and complexity, our interaction with and impact on our environment becomes more important. Over the last century, our understanding of natural processes has increased dramatrically but many areas of major importance are still poorly understood.
The Marshall Institute is contributing to the debate by providing studies, analyses and commentary on some of the chief issues facing decisionmakers today. The Civic Environmentalism program is developing a new perspective for environmental policymaking that emphasizes local decisionmaking. The Institute's climate change program involves a critical examination of the scientific basis for global climate change policy.
