Tips for riding Metro to events

Metro advises customers attending any of these events to follow these travel tips:

• Buy multiple farecards faster and easier by using the Passes/Farecards machine at Metrorail stations.
• Buy round-trip fare when first entering the system.
• Keep farecards clean and dry so they will work on the return trip home.
• For those people attending the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games, utilize other Metrorail stations in the vicinity of the MCI Center, including Metro Center, Judiciary Square, and Archives-Navy Memorial.
• Listen to station and train announcements. Check the final destination displayed on the side of the train to be sure you're boarding the right train.
