Liberals are pathetic wimps

Filed under: — Andrea Harris @ 8:11 pm

I once remarked that reading Jeff Jarvis’s blog is like staring at a train wreck full of naked old people: appalling, but you just keep peeking between your fingers. Well. That latest post is a particularly pathetic example of the premature senility affecting the “political consciousness” of a certain age group. Here it is, in summary: “Gee, I sure wish Bush had been my fantasy president and the Iraq War had been conducted by sending a regiment of fairy warriors from Elfland on their dragonfly steeds to sprinkle Magic Sleepy Dust over the Iraqi forces so there would have been no icky hurty ows and it’s gotten so boring now! Please, please give me more boobies on teevee!” And to put the cherry on this crusted saliva sundae, he quotes King Paresis himself, James Wolcott, at tedious length. Jesus, Jeff, just subscribe to the Spice channel, god knows you make enough money.

Update: Bwahahaahaha!

  1. I’ll be eating out on the Upper West Side tomorrow night, & I must remember to say some terrible things about James Wolcott, loudly. Any suggestions?

  2. Generals Jarvis and Wolcott manage to make themselves look even more pretentious, self-important and ignorant…which for Wolcott especially is quite an accomplishment.

  3. I have to admit, though, it turned me on when Jeff started talking dirty and said “You’re all piggies! You’re all piggies in the mud! Oink, piggies, oink!!!” *snort*

  6. Feh. My complaint is that JJ spent weeks asking for dialogue on issues ranging from health care to education, yet in the end he boils it down to two obvious party-line whoppers. And now he’s attacking Andrea for calling him on his sudden detour into fantasyland.

A man who extensively cites the outrageously mean-spirited and senseless Wolcott shouldn’t be accusing other people of “inane and infantile spit-sputtering".

  7. He is? Cool! (I can’t access Buzzmachine at work – the firewall here thinks it’s a sex-toy site or something.)

  8. shuffle to the CEN-TER…
Andrea Harris just dealt with Jeff Jarvis’s latest in a much wittier way than I ever could: I once remarked that reading Jeff Jarvis’s blog is like staring at a train wreck full of naked old people: appalling, but you…

  9. Ha ha ha! Jarvis also says something about the endorsement Andrew Sullivan “never thought he’d write” today.

I like Jeff. I’m believe in my heart that he’s a great guy. But sometimes he is not very smart.
