Cancel Casecnan contract now, government told

The Freedom from Debt Coalition reiterates its long-standing call for the immediate cancellation of the Casecnan contract, including other onerous IPP contracts. Casecnan reportedly failed to pay the provincial government a total of P229 million in real property taxes (RPTs) in 2003. Indigenous Elders issue High Court challenge

Jack Thomas to face trial under anti-terrorism laws

Jack Thomas Melbourne man Jack Thomas has been committed to stand trial on three charges brought by the Australian government under the Commonwealth's new anti-terrorist legislation. The charges are: receiving funds from a terrorist organisation, providing support to a terrorist organisation and possessing a false passport.
