Great work , things seems to work

Chargeshot2 - AoE/cone - Random pool damage and a chance to knockdown all targets in a cone. Character goes through a "charge" animation when firing. Cannot be used prone or kneeling.

Has anyone actually managed to do multiple kd   ?
I've been trying but no luck

I have successfully used the Multi-KD chargeShot2 on a group of 5 Selonian Captains on Corellia. I used FullAutoFire2 first, then BurstShot2, and then used chargeShot2, followed by another FullAuto2. They KD'd and 4 died when I used Fullauto2 a second time, the fifth stood up and i killed him with a crippleshot.

I have been able to get multiple KD's.  Occasionally i will get the failed KD message, but the 2 other in AoE/Cone will fall over.

Awesome job Nova. I have been quietly reading your posts for a month.  I just got Master Carbineer tonight !

So I appreciate your very detailed professional work.

Redundancy is still an issue I would raise if I had you in person. I play on Wanderhome as well.

I dropped TKA to play as a carbineer. I have Master Doctor so I am pretty much buffed at all times. I just wanted to say that this thread will help me alot.

I find it only seems to work for me if I'm at close enough range that the charging animation takes me within melee range of the target. Is this the case for others that have said it works for them?

I haven't noticed anybody else complaining about the animation but I hate that it runs towards the target. If I wanted to be at short range I'd have run into short range and NOT be trying to knockdown my target.

I just got ChargeShot2 a couple nights ago and I have gotten multiple knockdowns on tight groups at Fort Tusken. I haven't tried it anywhere else yet.

I get KD's at all ranges - from Max to Melee...  could your accuracy mod have something to do with this??

Now that I have ChargeShot2 I am much more successful at range. I think the knockdown just failed a lot at ChargeShot1.

Tested Wild shot tonight.  Compared it to Fullauto single2 in regards to how well it lands the stun.  Wild shot lands the stun about as often as sprayshot does, maybe even better.  Fullauto single2 lands the stun much less frequently then wild shotWild shot landed the stun on an average of 2 shots, full auto did it on average in about 4 or 5 shots (tested on Bol, dantoine).

Also, tested how much more effective landing the KD is when the target is stunned, and just as I expected it made a huge difference.  I always thought it did, but did not realize by how much.  When I would stun the bol and then use fire KD, the bol would only fall after on average 5 or 6 shots.  If the Bol was stunned it fell on the first try nearly every time, but no more than 2 tries were needed.

So, you want that KD to stick, use the stun before the KD.  Wild shot 2 followed by charge shot 2 should have a devestating effect against crowds, will try that when I have them both.  Go out with a rifelman freind, have him fire a couple rounds of flurry 2 into the crowd before your charge shot 2 and after your wild shot 2 for a real good time, hehe.  In under 5 seconds you could have 8 storm troopers flopping all over the place, hehe.

I don't know if this could be of any help but I use this combination in 120 LvL. missions and it works almost all the time:

1) Wildshot2 - Area Stun
2) FullAutoArea2 - Area Blind and Dizzy
3) ChargeShot2 - Area KD

That way everybody will be bouncing off the floor all the time

P.S: I wish there was a "Area" SupressionFire2, that would be sweet to KD everyone with the dizzyness...also the dizzy effect is way too short for carbines.

Note to Devs: why is it that Carbines are so nerfed for damage? If that is so, you guys (Devs) should improve the time on the status illnesses created by carbines; blind, dizzy, stun etc...it's just fair with us carbineers.

FAA2 does Stun as well so why use WS2?

ActionShot2 is the same posture change as SF2 but with the AoE and bleed and Action pool only.

As far as damage goes I can easily double the damage of a Master Pistoleer in PvE.

FAA2 only does stun about 1/4 of the time, and if a target is already stunned, other states such as dizzy and blind will more easily stick, and with fewer hits.

Has anyone else been getting 1 point hits with Scattershot1?  I repeatedly get damage of 1 when I hit with this special.  I have given up using it.  Seems like a broken special to me.

Well, I looked at the HAM bar and the numbers over their head.  I got 1's over their head and in my combat log.  I also got no visable reduction in HAM.

I may simply have had a weird set of circumstances.  If it is supposed to be a log glitch I will work on testing it some more.

Thanx for your time though.  I am sorry that it has been months and months and months for you.  Had it been the same for me I would not have asked the question.

Kindness is a virtue.

The game can't register multi-HAM hits, it states everything as "1" damage in that regards, but actual damage is applied.

This is like a FAQ.  Having read the entire thing I saw no mention of the 1 point damage.  After reading the special descriptions I see the possibility that scatter is hitting side stats.  /shrug  First night I read the carbineer stickied helpful topics and people are contemplating flaming when an unanswered question in a thread is asked in a thread designed to teach the topic asked about.   ????

All but one or two STICKY posts have changed......no official FAQ up yet so I don't know where it went.

Although the topic rarely gets off the first page

Not to mention that if somebody actually WATCHES the target, you see a helluva lot more than 1 pt of damage going off its HAM bar.....

Ummm no.  Two days ago I was dueling a guild mate to get rid of her overt status.  She was asking why it was taking so long to kill her.  The damage over her head was very very low, like 1 point.  The combat log said the esact same thing.  Her ham bars sat steady as rocks.  Now in PVE while I speak I see massive damage from the scatter shot, I will duel in one second and test this further.  I guess her armor is just way to thick for my laser carbine cause my laser carbine didnt touch her but shreaded my wookie alt.  Maybe it was her defense stack?

Sorry for the attitude.  I am used to getting told to look things up when asking questions in the general topic area not when quesitoning that which is not covered by the helpful threads (faq's) similar to these.
