New Pope chosen, no clue WHO it is, but it is done!

This shoudl be very interesting...

Did the Italians take it back? Is it the German, a Latino? An African?

My bet is African or Latino.

Mine is also African (Arinze) or Latino. Probably the latter.

I'm guessing its Ratzinger. I've heard it said that many people thought that Jonh Paul II had groomed him to be his successor. The fact that they came to a 3/4ths majority so quickly makes me think that the cardinals went along with his wishes.

Could be Ratzinger, but only as an ad interim (he's old) while the politicking continues. A Third World pope has to be on the cards.

Gosh, they're choosing a New American Idol, too! Isn't that great!

Gosh, you are so funny! How long did it take for you to come up something so witty and pointless to the thread?

Is the pope Polish, no he's a German. Though, I agree I didn't think they'd be able to go through the process of selecting a new pope so fast.

Unless, John Paul let it be known who his choice for successor would be.
