To use Windows Explorer to see what's on your computer

  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Click a folder in the Folders list to display its contents.
  3. If you want to see the contents of a drive, in the Folders list, click My Computer, and then double-click a drive.

note Note

  • To open Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
  • If the Folders list does not appear, click Folders.
  • Clicking the plus sign next to a folder in the Folders list displays any subfolders it contains in the list. It does not display the contents of the folder in the right pane. To display the contents of a folder in the right pane, in the Folders list, click the folder. This will close the folder that was previously opened and display the selected folder's files and subfolders.
  • To change the size of either part of the window, drag the bar that separates the two panes.
