rofl, 2nd update and its only 2 paragraphs, is this some kind of joke? Firestone and spellstones? i dont know one warlock who uses thesee 2 worthless pieces of a off-hand weapon and that does nothing to fix our problem. As for the enslave demon issue, in the matter of making them untappable and not dispellable what about BUFFING OUR INFERNALS / DOOMGUARDS TO MAKE THEM USEFUL. As of this current state, they are near useless, very little life and not worht the hassle to use in raid situations nor soloing, they are best for griefing. Eyonix those information still means nothing to us, and its been almost a month since the 1st update, go figure

its a step in the right direction, its nothing that will make me go 'F-KIN SWEET!' type stuff, but it braught a smile to my face, i especially love the changes to firestone and spellstones as i use a caster dagger with a offhand staff, now that the crit bonus is with the spellstone it'll defintly make me switch out my prophetic cane, your doing good now eyonix, just please keep the information at a consistent rate, we dont wanna wait another month for good info.

i use spellstones, and i use them very often in pvp, if used correctly they can be a lifesaver, though i agree with you that this doesn't SOLVE our problems, it does give warlocks a general buff.

I posted this before but this is probably a better place now.

Suggestion:-
Timer on the initial enslave.. Blizzard wants to keep the risk vs. reward with the Infernal (even though the reward is still being debated eg,. Hunter pets) .. so they want to keep the ‘Russian Roulette’ aspect of when it’s going to break.. however, can they please make this ‘unknown factor’ a part of subsequent soul stone re-enslavement? I ask this because of the risks associated with dropping one mid fight. They are still supposed to bring the ‘reward’ to warlocks and being able to use them in a fight knowing how much time you got before he’ll join the pounding on you or gets you booted from a group is necessary.

Question:-
Enslaving the same demon gets harder the more times it is done. In the case on the infernal does the first drop count as enslavement number 1? Technically it isn’t an enslavement, but technically it is a demon under your control.. It would be good to know.

Nice to hear. Now, for all those approaching 900g..should we spend it or not? Is the warlock epic mount still planned? Will it cost money, will it be an "upgrade" after we buy our epic, and will it just be a quest reward?

How about the Inventor's Focal Sword, +6int and +1% extra chance to crit with spells, or the charstone dirk, +11int, and 2 mana every 5 secs

likely a badass quest, but anyway i dont see the 60 mount as a necessity like the 40 mount is, i'd save the gold if i was you.

oh come on now, you know your happy COA is going to become shadow based, our shadowmastery will effect it now, and its a nice update, nothing like 'WOOT!' type stuff but it does help.

There are some good 1 handed sword/dagger in the game. There is a +11 sta sword(quest reward). A +11 sta dagger(quest reward from Temple). There is also a +1% spell crit sword that drops in Mauradon. The boss from scarlet side strath also drops a very good caster dagger.

dont forget the dagger that drops off the princess in mauradon, +11 intellect and it regens mana, its the dagger i'm currently using

Hi

I would like to appeal against the vanishing of the spell/fire/health stones after a 15 mins.

Already, most warlocks expend 3 shards upon logging in. One for soulstone buff, one for pet and one more for healthstone. Pets die, buffs fade, and health stones are traded/used frequently.

To add a vanish timer upon the stones when there is already a one-item limit for each stone is unneccessary. It merely compounds the shard problem that even the dev side have come to realise.

Adding insult to injury, are times where users are lagged out/disccnnected, relog to be stuck on a queue, gets back in to find that the pet, healthstone and firestone gone.

The timer does not help create balance. It only creates frustration.

1. Firestones/Spell Stones - are these even on anyone's "need be fixed list"?! Not sure where the urgency for these changes came from.

2. Enslave is going to be "fixed" - make no mistake that it wasn't supposed to be dispellable.

Not impressed, try again.

Sorry, if I am down in the dumps about this update, but it really lacks information pertaining to the current high end PVE/PVP warlock issues.

it took over three weeks to reiterate that demons won't be dispellable, and fire/spellstones are getting buffed?

i dont know whether to laugh or cry

its like pulling teeth, getting information from you people

you mentioned bug fixes.
can you list any of them?

how about things that AREN'T being changed?

maybe a "this is how it is and this is how it should be", like what Cay did in the druid forum?

+shadow dmg affecting curse of agony is useless since even if we used it at level 60 it would just get pushed off because of the 8 slot debuff limit. as for use in PvP, I doubt it will be buffed sufficiently to make +shadow gear desirable compared to items that give stat buffs. stamina and int are more important than +6 to shadow damage.

as for the spellstone/firestone... warlocks are not a melee class for anything other than solo grinding. Many high level mobs have AoE spells and if we are meleeing then we are making the priest's job unnecessarily difficult. There are so few caster daggers and swords in the game that unless the changes to the spellstone and firestone are incredibly substantial they will still be useless. Rolling on blue/epic swords and daggers that don't specifically have some sort of mana bonus is a good way to get blacklisted from instance groups. I also see no mention of the fact that the spellstone removes positive buffs. It may be working as intended, but it still stinks.

eyonix- I am not trying to be insulting but honestly I believe you have absolutely no influence whatsoever on the developers. Either that or you really don't browse our forums at all. once again, issues are being addressed that aren't even the most important. We ask for answers and for fixes regarding things that we see every day while playing our character, and these issues never get acknowledgement. Instead, we get information or buffs on things that we rarely use or even care about. In other words, either the developers are really out of touch or you are. There is no other explanation for why we continue to get these updates on things which we don't even discuss on these forums.

These are indeed some good fixes, and if my server was ever up long enough for me to actually play my warlock I would surely be leveling up in anticipation of these great changes. Thankyou.
