A JOKE'S A JOKE...
An academic has argued that no joke should ever be banned because it's offensive.
Professor Christie Davies of the Social Affairs Unit think-tank says gags are part of a healthy society and shouldn't be censored in the name of political correctness.

And he says acts like Bernard Manning are not racist. "Black people are not offended by Seventies television," he said. "The jokes are not racist. It's humour."
But Chris Myant of the Commission for Racial Equality disagreed, saying: "These jokes are offensive if used to deliberately hurt people."

American comic Conan O'Brien has apologised to the Canadian city of Quebec after a puppet dog insulted them on his late-night chat show with lines like: "So you're French and Canadian, yes? So you're obnoxious and dull."
Britcom Love Actually is to be released on DVD on March 22, it has been announced.
