£ythánde's Page

for those of you who have been waiting. ;)

Update: Welcome to my grossly outdated, broken website.   This is the same one I started with 7 years ago when I knew zilch about HTML ("wtf is that?") and created the site only to appease those persistent folks mentioned somewhere below.   It has traveled with me from the first charity (or pity?) website to this one, with only additions.   I've started several re-writes, most of which still reside among the jumble that is my harddrives.. those of which haven't been lost due to various crashes and such, that is.   The page was begun with NSG (probably version 1 ;-) so don't blame all of the nasty coding on me. Additions have been provided by various text editors, including notepad, PFE (Programmer's File Editor) and most recently, jove.   Welcome, enjoy or be sickened... the choice is yours.

Update (to the update): The lastest infant attempt (yes, I said infant not infantile, though the reader may differ ;) at a re-write is available here.

Regardless of whether or not the driver was drunk, Princess Di was killed by the paparazzi that caused her car to be traveling at speeds perhaps over 100mph.  She should not have had to flee at such a pace, just to get a little privacy.  The rights of the press, as with any other individual's rights, stop when they begin to infringe on the rights of another individual.

Now you really didn't think I was going to put a whole lot of personal information on a WWW Page, did you??.. ;-)

What I will do, though, is take you on a tour of some of my favorite places.  Choosing favorites is not easy, since there are so many places to go and so many wonderful folks who've been extremely helpful and sweet to me.

(If you'd break down and get 'Scape, you'd see a screenshot here of my IRC adventures. ;)

Those of you who know me know that I'm found on IRC.

Too much!!!!

One of my favorite hangouts (other than my own hundred or so channels ;) is a place called #afd, on the DALnet IRC network.

DALnet

Come Visit The DALnet Homepage.

and Visit some *Friendly* Dragons.

My Entry in the #afd photo album:

Afd Photo Alblum

The fact that this is on the Irish mirror site and hasn't yet made it to the regular site is a tad ironic, but that's yet another story. ;)

Aetobatus has started up a MUCK called Alfandria for the members of alt.fan.dragons and like-minded folks.  It IS open to the public, and we'd be happy to have new members.  Check out some of the details at the website:

Alfandria Web pages

And visit us at alfandria.chameleon.net port 8888.

One of the more interesting places on the net belongs to an interesting shape-shifter who goes by, among other things,

The DALnet Wolf.

Check out the Blue Ribbon Campaign.

You can't have been out here in the past year or so and heard nothing about the Telecommunications Bill signed into Law by the U.S.  President, Bill Clinton.

If you haven't, then PLEASE follow the CDA link above.

Come with me, and add your signature to

The Declaration of Independence.

Even more importantly, visit this site and

Write your representatives!!!

(Click on the heart to find out about the Blue Ribbon Campain to protect free speech.)

One of the channels on Undernet you may find me on is #gnnchat.  When I first came to IRC, I stumbled on to this group of folks on another channel, and without going into details, there came a shift to this one.  You won't find a friendlier bunch.  There's a wizard there, check out

Unfortunately, the mother to this page is no longer available.. it used to be GNNBabes© page from my favorite OP : Carlton...

And then there was the Babes Revenge Page, but it, too, is sadly defunct, so this section is entirely a memorial now.

The GNNHunks© Page

Here's some more stuff Carlton has written.  You should read it.

I'm rarely here, but I really do have a local ISP... It's called Electronic Country Road, or ECR for short.  So ya wanna see where I come from?

Come take a look.

Click here to see who's online.

No place would be complete, (not that any ever is,) without a link to the folks who wouldn't let up til I got off my duff and created *something* to put on the Web... Puppet, just for you: ;)

Hope you've got a GUI Browser!

Visit the homepage of the UnderNet's own

#Windows

Oh, and here's a list of things NOT to do on IRC written by

The #windows ops.

Oh, and I *really* like roses.  These are some good rose pics I scanned in and cleaned up.

Rose & Rosebud .jpg  Roses and Hearts with a ready-to-be-filled-in banner.  Roses, Hearts, and Chains... What a combination. :)

Click on the images to get the full-sized versions.  There are tiny ones, too.  The full-sized versions are the ones I scanned in.  The rest have been modified by me...  Erm.. well.. they *all* have been modified. :)  Unfortunately, the original source remains unknown, though I am still searching for the artist's name.

I stumbled (Yeah, I have a habit of that ;) onto a page on the Web that lets you design a page with just a few clicks of the mouse.  For those of you who have Netscape Gold, you can find it by clicking on the last button in the second row in the editor.  (Those of you who don't have NSG, get it. ;)

Any way, I *had* to try it out, so I took about 3 minutes and put together this page for

#IRC_RoadHouse

There's a new IRC network out there!

It's really a network! It's got 2 working servers and another server being tested.  Of course, they're all on one computer, but who says a network has to be spread out???

We've even got a "yes bot" policy... Of course, some of our policies might be questioned, but then again, somefolks might even question our existence. <g>

Hey, at least we don't split! Well, that is unless one of our Opers think it would be fun at the time.

Check out their home page.

One more for now, and I'll let you get on with your life.. Oops, forgot, you have a computer, not a life. ;)

I kinda stumbled into this place the other day.  I ran into some interesting folks.  You might want to give it a shot.

Visit the Inn.

Here are a few more places to go, many of which are grossly outdated.

More outdated links.

Sometimes I like to fancy myself an amateur writer.  Well.. in the commonly accepted sense, that's not quite true, as I have actually been paid for works, if you can call a grand total of $15US being paid.  But in the truest sense, that's what I am, an amateur -- one who does something for the love of it, pure and simple.

Here, I've decided to put up a page of some of my rantings... Poetry, as of now one short story, whatever.. at least for as long as this site holds out.

I Am A: Neutral Good Elf Ranger Druid

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Druids are a special variety of Cleric who serves the Earth, and can call upon the power in the earth to accomplish their goals. They tend to be somewhat fanatical about defending natural settings.

Deity:
Mielikki is the Neutral Good goddess of the forest and autumn. She is also known as the Lady of the Forest, and is the Patron of Rangers. Her followers are devoted to nature, and believe in the positive and outreaching elements of it. They use light armor, and a variety of weapons suitable for hunting, which they are quite skilled at. Mielikki's symbol is a unicorn head.

Note: This is not true. I am not an artist.

Now don't go getting the impression that this page is done.  I think these links will link you to enough links to keep you busy for a while, and please don't ask me to repeat that ;) I'll be back to add more to drive you crazy.  Hope you have as much fun following them as I did.

I only wish I had BookMarks of half the pages of folks I've visited.  There are a lot of talented and imaginative people, who've done excellent jobs.  I'll get to some more of ya later, but I think this is enough for one day. ;)

Okay, okay, so I've been back... That makes this entire secion invalid? .. Nah... I'll still be back.. Besides, I'll bet you think this section is purple.  It's actually red. ;)

Some of the things I hope to add?... Well, more links to more friends, of course.  And eventually more graphics.  This page was litterally thrown together with the NetScape Gold that I finally got to download without timing out, and just installed it before I began.

Update, 27 April 1998:  Okay, so I -really- need a total rewrite, instead of additions.. and maybe even a little organization.  Well, maybe one of these days I'll get around to finishing that. :)  I know Carlton probably hopes I will so I can clean some of this stuff on his puter up... :)

My special thanks to SmugWimp, who graciously made this page Possible.

Also to Carlton, who graciously offered the mirror site, which is now my main site.
