OMFG. It's good, dude. Very good.

Reminds me of Yalc, but a bit different perhaps even... beter?! I love the menu systems and all the great options you can get. Also the map editor totally kicks ass!

One thing DOES bother me though. The game runs an average of 95 fps, but the worm animation is still a tiny bit choppy. I'm guessing maybe more frames of animation have not yet been added? Perhaps even the worm physics are a bit off, because the worm seems to be able to move a bit TOO freely.

I think some of the weapons fire a bit too fast aswell, such as the minigun which is fully expended in only one second. Perhaps this is just a timing problem, because I hope you didn't intend for them to be so fast.

Hope my comments didn't upset you at all, remember, people usually only critique what they like.

Great work and I hope to see much more of this game! Your page went right into my bookmarks.

I just copied the animation directly from the liero image file. The framerate of the animation is probably a bit too low if it looks choppy.

With the weapons, the script handles all the timing and basically everything. If something is wrong with a weapon, it's easily changed by just modifying the script.
I'll release the script files & game compiler soon.

And no, i didn't get upset by your comments. I posted my sequel to get feedback and thats what i got, so it's good.

Hullo Jack... Downloaded your game today...
Like it. Really like the player profiles thingy, hope it will include statistics and skin selection as well someday...
I'd like to see more options. I guess most of it can be changed in the script with the script compiler, but it would be nice to make some things changeable in the menus, such as number of lives.
I sometimes experienced a lack of worm-movement, quite possibly caused by rough terrain. And once one of the AI-players were placed outside the map...
Other than that, great game. Keep good up work.

This is nice, man! Very fast and smooth! I hate bug reporting on someone else's hard work, but I get lots of those myself - so, I know how it feels.

I found that the bouncy larpa (when shot nearly horizontal) occasionally shoots off nearly completely horizontally, clearing ground and ignoring rocks as it passes. It rebounds from the edge of the level though.

Apart from that I found it worked real well! And I'm so glad someone else likes a separate key for the bungy rope...sheesh, the amount of requests not to do that in WormRage hehe

Yes and Skip finally caved after the mountain of requests for an option to do the bungy liero 1.33 style. Maybe you may want to plan for that, Jack.

I must admit I also bugged him a great deal about it. Sorry, Skip.

Jack, I still think a single key for rope use is best, but then Arcticflare is right I caved and will offer both ways - funny how things go in cycles

I also liked your in-built editor, always the way things should be rather than separate programs

Thanks for the feedback guys.

"do the bungy liero 1.33 style"

Do you mean like different physics for the rope or something?

As for the bouncy larpa, thats one weapon that doesn't work well. It's more to do with my collision detection routines. Hopefully i'll get around to fixing it up before another release.

I'll probably add 2 methods for shooting the rope. I prefer the single key but if other people like the double-key combo i'll add it in too.

I can answer here for Arcticflare, I think (Just for once <grin> plus, he'll come along after me and add some weight to the 'ropey' question) He means have the liero v1.33 two key combo to throw the bungy rope - not to change the physics

I had a similar problem with collision detection causing an occasional shooting off vertical in WormRage a while back - collision detection is always a chore, especially for Liero type games
